Deputy of National Iranian Drilling Company announced, the company new heavy land rig has become operational and spudded its first well in Shadegan oil field located in Khozestan province.
The new rotary rig Fath-91 is one of the most advanced and could be used in drilling exploration & description wells as deep as 18000 feet (6000 meters). It is also equipped with four generators, mud pumps, and the latest mechanical, electronic and digital systems, he also said.
“This is the first rig to add in New Year and we plan to develop our fleet so as to increase our drilling activity” he further stated.
With a total of 73 land & offshore rigs working, NIDC has drilled 397 oil and gas wells to a total depth of 417000 meters during the last Iranian year (ended March 20), Alami concluded.
