Managing Director of Petro Gohar Farasahel Kish Co. (PGFK) Masood Ziari says drilling of eight wells for the platform B24 is completed within less than 20 months.
Announcing that drilling of the phases 22 to 24 of South Pars has been entrusted to the PGFK, Ziari said drilling of the platform 24A ended in Iranian month of Bahman (January-February) and now drilling of eight wells of the platform 24B is also over.
He said among other records of success in drilling 24B were drilling a 32-inch well in nine hours, a 16-inch ditch in 98 hours, and completion of operations to drill eight wells, including test of the descriptive wells and drilling of wells with 60 degrees angle in less than 20 months.
Platform of phases 22, 23 and 24 of South Pars have two main platforms and two satellite platforms. The platforms 22 and 23 are the main platforms of the said phases and platforms 24A and 24B are their satellite platforms. Operation of the platforms adds 2 billion cubic feet (56 million cubic meters) to the capacity to extract from South Pars gas field.
Two main and satellite platforms of 22 and A24 will be operational by October 2017, yielding one billion cubic feet of gas in combination.
The project for development of phases 22 to 24 of South Pars yield 56.6 million cubic meters of soar gas, 75,000 barrels of gas condensates, 400 tons of sulfur, 2,870 tons of LPG and 2,740 tons of ethane a day. Sadra and Petro Sina Aria companies are contractors for development of the phases.
PGFK assumes operations to drill 38 wells of phases 22, 23 and 24 of South Pars.
