TEHRAN, Jan. 04 (Shana) — The Research Center of Petroleum Industry (RIPI) says it is now focused on developing and deploying enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods on two oilfields in southwestern Iran, a RIPI official said.
Mohammad Reza Kamali, head of the upstream faculty of RIPI, said on Monday that the institute is cooperating with international study centers and companies, for studying and deploying EOR methods for boosting oil recovery from Iranian oil fields, adding the institute has now zoomed in on Ahwaz and Yadavaran oilfields, southwestern Iran.
He also said RIPI is in cooperation with Netherlands’ Dolf University for carrying out EOR and IOR (improved oil recovery) methods over Ahwaz oilfield and Austria’s OMV company for deploying the methods on Yadavaran oilfield.
