Arvandan Ready to operate North Azadegan

Managing director of Arvandan Oil and Gas Company said the company is prepared to launch North Azadegan oilfield an output of 75,000b/d.

North Azadegan is one of the oil fields in the West Karoun block whose development is highly priorities by Iranian petroleum ministry.

Sultan Kamali said Arvandan is waiting for Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC) to conclude its work on the field in order to start extraction of crude oil from its reserves.

Oil recovery form North Azadegan is expected to hit 250,000b/d by late 2016, he said.
The field is being developed in two phases with the initial capacity of 75,000b/d.

Share with neighboring Iraq, the oilfield is estimated to contain 5.6b barrels of crude oil in its reserves.
